Environmental Networks Programme

Business and public sectors generate over one third of UK carbon emissions. There is an increasingly significant expectation from UK government that businesses should reduce CO2 through improved environmental performance and contribute to the UK’s ongoing carbon reduction targets, most recently set through the Climate Change Act 2008.

Whilst many businesses recognise the benefits of devising strategies for carbon reduction and becoming more resource efficient, difficulties can often arise during the implementation phase of these strategies, particularly within the small to medium sized enterprise (SME) sector as businesses often don’t have the resources or knowledge to act on their own.

Birmingham Chamber is currently running a  FREE  environmental support programme to help the SME sector to address carbon reduction with the ultimate goal of financial savings at the same time! The programme is a stepped support programme aimed at manufacturing businesses.
