Kiran Virk is a Policy Advisor at the Chamber. Kiran’s policy areas include skills and training, employment legislation and migrant workers. Kiran also manages the Chamber’s Council body, which involves organising the quarterly Council meetings, arranging guest speakers and ensuring things run smoothly!

Kiran graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Social History, History and English Literature in 2006. Kiran lives at home with her family in Wolverhampton. The last book she read was Jeremy Clarkson’s ‘The World According To….’ and she has recently become a School Governor at her old secondary school!

Kiran thinks the best thing about working at the Chamber is being able to give smaller companies who wouldn’t normally get involved in lobbying work, the opportunity to do so. Government legislation affects all businesses and often it is the smaller firms who are the last know about these changes but Kiran believes the Chamber’s Policy Team works to ensure that no-one is left behind or caught out by Government policy.
