Market Research
Market research is critical to the development of new markets in international trade. It can help companies reach sound decisions on issues such as whether or not to export to a new market and how best to deliver products and services. By conducting marketing research, a company is less likely to make costly mistakes with their market entry strategy.
Overseas Market Introduction Service (OMIS)
OMIS opens the door to a wealth of practical support, advice and key market information. It guides you through the process of breaking into a new overseas market, providing all the help you need at every stage, from initial research to making your first market visit.
There are four levels of service priced at £500, £1000, £1500 or £2000. These packages are built around the typical requirements of businesses making their first steps into a new overseas market. All provide a flexible blend of preparatory advice and research, and support when you visit the market.
Through UKTI, market research can be commissioned for over 200 overseas markets. These heavily subsidised reports, produced by the British Embassy commercial staff, aim to give you market information and contacts prior to any market visit and will contain information such as:
- Country / sector profile
- A detailed list of potential business partners and other useful contacts, comments, pen picture, etc.
- Recommendations on how to approach the market.
- Expert guidance and advice from commercial staff based at the British Embassy / Consulate in the market.
- In market support such as arranging meetings.
If you are currently commissioning an OMIS or have ordered an OMIS in the past you can access your report and communicate with the overseas team by using the OMIS website
